Epoxy Paints Group
Epoxy Floor Varnish
A clear floor varnish that penetrates very well into cracks and pores on wood and concrete surfaces, creating a very solid foundation for paint systems to be applied on top.
Product Information
FEATURES
- Excellent chemical and mechanical resistance
- Very strong adhesion and elasticity
SURFACES TO APPLY
Applied on all types of wood, metal, and concrete surfaces. Used for protecting metal surfaces against corrosive effects, providing water insulation in underground parts of structures and pools, and preventing water absorption by chipboard and wood.
APPLICATION METHOD
Epoxy floor impregnation varnish reaches suitable viscosity for roller and brush application after thorough mixing at the specified ratios. It does not require thinning with thinner. However, since impregnating and saturating cracks and pores on concrete and wood surfaces with varnish will improve the adhesion and chemical resistance of subsequent paint systems, it is particularly suitable to use the first coat thinned by 8-10% with Yalaz Epoxy Thinner. For spray application, application is performed after reaching the application viscosity with the recommended thinner. Wood surfaces must be dry and should be thoroughly sanded before application. Concrete surfaces must be clean and dry. Old paint residues, oil, dirt, and dust on the surface should be cleaned before application, loose surfaces should be removed by sandblasting, grinding, and vacuuming. If the concrete is new, it must have completed the 21-day curing period. A total of two coats should be applied on concrete surfaces, with the first coat thinned and the second coat unthinned. Metal surfaces must be cleaned of oil, grease, and dirt, and rust and mill scale must be thoroughly removed. The moisture content in the concrete to be applied should not exceed 4%. Application at temperatures below 10°C is not recommended.
