Epoxy Primer
Two-component, reaction-curing epoxy primer based on epoxy resin with polyamide hardener. It creates a solid foundation for topcoats, offering high physical and chemical resistance, excellent adhesion, and containing anticorrosive zinc phosphate pigment.
Product Information
FEATURES
- High adhesion strength
- Fast reaction curing
- Excellent corrosion and water resistance
- Elastic structure
SURFACES TO APPLY
Used as an anticorrosive primer in structural steel manufacturing, underwater and above-water steel surfaces, exterior surfaces of steel silos and tanks, and all metal surfaces requiring high corrosion resistance.
APPLICATION METHOD
All surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry, and free from all contaminants.
New metal surfaces: Oil and grease on the metal surface should be cleaned with solvent, detergent, or steam; salt and other contaminants should be removed with high-pressure fresh water. After cleaning, sandblasting to at least Sa 2½ level according to ISO 8501 standard is recommended. Depending on application conditions and environmental factors, mechanical cleaning at St2 - St3 level according to ISO 8501 standard may be performed. Sandblasted surfaces should be primed within a maximum of 5 hours, depending on environmental conditions.
Touch-up: The surface to be touched up must be clean, dry, and free from all contaminants; after cleaning at St 2 level according to ISO 8501 standard, touch-up should be done as soon as possible.
