Electrostatic Powder Coating
Electrostatic powder coating is the most preferred surface treatment method in industry for coloring and painting. It consists of very fine powder paint particles that form the topcoat layer. It is a superior application in terms of cost-effectiveness since there are no extra costs such as primer or solvent. The powder paint is applied via special spray guns in a paint booth. The electrostatically charged particles adhere to the material and form the coating. For proper adhesion, the material must be well-grounded and surface preparation must be done properly according to the material type. After coating, the material enters a curing oven at 200°C or above, which melts the powder and ensures homogeneous adhesion.
